SUDAMERICA A PEDAL: Biking South America
“SUDAMÉRICA A PEDAL” is a project of ecuadorian bikers that pretend to ride 4000 miles from Quito, the beautiful colonial capital of Ecuador to Mendoza, Argentina. This journey will take about 4 months and the adventure will launch on january 2008.
In their way, they will enjoy wonderful landscapes such as the beautiful Ecuadorian beaches, the Peruvian deserts and higlands, the overwhelming Bolivian “altiplano”, and the colonial style Argentinian villages.
Carolina Altamirano, the office manager in Quito and travel consultant for Barefoot Expeditions once again thrives in the face of this new challenge, and is thinking about joinig the last 1000 miles of the journey riding from La Paz (Bolivia) to Mendoza (Argentina) in april/2008.
