Whitewater Rafting trips with lots of folks is lots of fun! The Rafting trip happened on May 31st, 2008 (original post) with people from the South American Explorers Club (SAEC-Quito House). Twenty two people from the SAEC-Quito joined us on this adventure. We also had a group of 12 college students ftom a Tourism institute of Quito (ITHI) that decided to join the trip. FOr them, it was some kind of training for their adventure tourism class. That made 5 full boats of folks going down the river.

It was so much fun!

In terms of logistics, Barefoot Expeditions needed to pull adventure guides from all over Ecuador. They came from Ibarra, Baños, Tena and Quito. The equipment (rafts, helmets, paddles and food) came from Quito and Santo Domingo. Big logistics for a big trip!
