We’ve had a couple of busy months at Barefoot Expeditions. We are developing new multi-day expeditions to the Galapagos Islands and we’ve been successfully running new and unique adventure loops in Ecuador for a few months now. Which brings me to my next point. We are looking for a superstar intern.

What would you be doing?

• Support all internet marketing for Barefoot Expeditions
• Increase and support Barefoot Expeditions’s presence across social networks (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, WAYN, etc)
• Video blogging, tweeting, blogging, googling, friendfeeding, engaging, etc.
• Maintain and grow this blog and establish relationships with relevant bloggers
• Act as an “embedded blogger” in some of our adventure trips in Ecuador, Galapagos and Peru
• Interview our guests and profile them in the blog
• Profile other companies, blogs and trips in the blog

What are the requirements?

• You are a college student (or recent grad) looking for a great experience in tourism and social media
• You love adventure travel (rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, ice climbing)
• You love the internet and love enganging and interacting with people in social networks
• You know how to do some light graphic design
• You already have a blog — the blog should be at least 9 months old and have been updated constantly
• Your blog relates to social media, technology or travel
• You are a good writer
• You are up to speed with all social networks and have used it to promote our blog or website
• You have hundreds of friends/followers in twitter, facebook, myspace, friendfeed
• You have a laptop, video camera and digital camera
• You know how to edit videos
• You speak and write english well
• You speak Spanish (nice to have but not necessary)

What do we offer?

• Travel with us to the adventure trips and expeditions for free
• Live in Ecuador for 3 -6 months in the Barefoot house — room will be free.
• Intern will be paid according to skill level. The internship would be paid only while in Ecuador
