Barefoot Expeditions’ partnership with the South American Explorers Club (SAEC) in Quito continues to grow. Barefoot Expeditions has ran several with the SAEC successfully. So if you are thinking about traveling to Ecuador and South America for longer than 2 or 3 weeks, it might be a good idea to become a member of the SAEC. They have clubhouses across some of the major cities in South America.

UPDATE: Here is a link to the follow-up blog post where you can see pictures of the trip and a quick run down of just how the fun the trip turned out to be.

The next whitewater rafting trip with the SAEC-Quito Chapter is on Saturday, May 31st 2008 and will take place in the Toachi & Blanco rivers in the western side of the tropical forest in Ecuador. The trip departs from Quito.

We still have 8 spaces available. Please leave us a comment below letting us know that you would like to join the trip. Alternatively you can contact us through this form. We will contact you to your email address to give you the necessary information.

You can contact Barefoot Expeditions at (593) (9) 189 9067 and ask for Diego Altamirano. You can also contact the South American Explorers Club, Quito at (593) 2225-228 and ask for Marcelo, the clubhouse manager.
