SUDAMERICA A PEDAL: Team Completes First 1,008 Kilometers

Submitted by Carolina on January 30, 2008 – 2:35 pmShareComments

mario.JPGOn January 13th, four Ecuadorian bikers left Quito to begin a 4000 miles journey to Mendoza, Argentina in their project “sudamerica a pedal” (biking through south america). Two more Ecuadorian bikers will join them this weekend. They will have to travel more than 24 hours by bus to meet them in northern Peru.
It has been very inspiring to read about their trip tales they publish in their blog. They had slept in a church, a firefighter station, ans some other random places. They have reached some other people like them, riding their bikes for months and even years! These guys still have long to ride, hope everything is going well with them and hope they finish this big project “sudamerica a pedal”.
